6:00 PM – Center Closes

Children are to depart our center no later than 6:00 pm. For this reason we suggest that parents arrive at least 15 minutes before closing at 5:45 pm. Our late pick-up fee will be strictly enforced at a rate of $1 per minute. We strongly recommend that parents pick their children up on time. Continued abuse of our late pick-up policy could result in termination of our service without refund. We are not insured to care for your child(ren) before 9:00 am and past 6:00 pm at night. Outside of our operation times the child(ren) are completely the parent’s responsibility.

When a Child Starts at Daycare

When new children come to our center we encourage that parent’s help their children to adjust to the new environment through a process called ‘Gradual Entry’. We have adjusted this process to try our best to fast track this entry on a 3 day basis as opposed to the regular 6 day process that other centers might offer. This is to ensure that the child is comfortable, and has trust in their new teachers, and new surroundings. This also allows the parents ample time to make observations of their children at our center, and express their interests or concerns to our staff.

Day 1 – Child attends for 30 minutes with Parent present.

Day 2 – Child attends for 1 hour with Parent present.

Day 3 – Child Attends for a full day independently.

The importance of a Gradual Entry is to make sure the children are comfortable, and trusting of the new experiences surrounding them. Especially if they have never been in a program away from family, and parents. This encourages the children to enjoy the changes around them, and gradually become aware of the routines they will soon learn to follow. It helps children to adjust to the differences with a smaller chance of them developing separation anxiety. Its less stressful, more encouraging, and a positive way to be introduced to a new environment. We understand if your schedule is too busy to accommodate this entry. It is not a requirement for attending the child care, but is suggested as an option for a strong start to our program.
